Prolific Philadelphian musician Alex G releases his third single 'Cross The Sea' from the upcoming new album God Save The Animals, his 9th full length album, set to be released on Domino on the 23rd of September. Already the new album is shaping up to be a typically idiosyncratic Alex G collection, incredibly diverse in the range sounds and atmospheres but somehow cohesive and still unmistakably him, from the eerie whispers of 'Blessing' to the wholesome warmth of 'Runner'. 'Cross The Sea' widens the scope of the album further, a woozy, yearning track that blends acoustic guitars with layers of auto-tuned vocals that feels like a continuation of or a sibling track to 'Sportstar' from 2017's Rocket. The track comes with a video-game inspired animated video made by longtime collaborator Elliot Bech who designs his merchandise and previously animated a video for 'Southern Sky'. -Toby Evans-Jesra
